Java and C++ Application Developer


Summary

Principia Partners is looking for a Java/C++ Application Developer to work as a development lead in the Application Development Group focusing on Principia's latest solutions for the Structured Finance Market.

Duties:
  • Work closely with business analysts on reviewing and understanding functional specifications.
  • Provide technical specifications for new application modules and functional enhancements.
  • Carry out the implementation, unit testing, and integration of new products.
  • Conduct code reviews and training for junior developers.
  • Participate in the implementation of the new J2EE architecture for the Principia System.

Requirements/Skills:

  • Must have a bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or related fields.
  • Must have strong software system design, analysis, and development skills. Project/team management experience is a plus.
  • Must have developed and maintained business systems deployed in a production environment.
  • Must be highly proficient with Java/Swing, and/or C++, and Object Oriented Design Concepts.
  • Must have 5+ years of development experience in Java and/or C++ under a Unix/Linux environment. Experience working with EJB, JDBC, JNI, XML, and SOAP is a plus .
  • Experience in using J2EE design patterns is a plus.
  • Experience in developing financial applications for the Capital Market or Structured Finance Market a plus.
  • Knowledge of Fixed Income and Derivatives instruments is a strong plus.
